My first career was in nonprofit leadership, serving as the Director of Administration at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and School, after a decade in professional ministry. That experience taught me how to meet people where they are and work shoulder to shoulder to achieve the best outcomes — with integrity and trust.

I’m passionate about architecture and design, especially the vernacular of our South Louisiana culture. My wife and I even named our son Hayes after the iconic Louisiana architect, A. Hays Town. I deeply admire the craftspeople and builders of our region and am proud to be part of a brokerage that shares that commitment to quality.

I’m a graduate of Catholic High School, St. Joseph Seminary College, and hold an Executive MBA from Louisiana State University. My wife, Dr. Cheree Schwartzenburg, and I have three children — Hayes Joseph, Hampton Jacques, and Colette Marie — and one spoiled yellow lab, Shep.

When I’m not serving clients, I enjoy volunteering in ministries and committees supporting Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and School, Catholic High School, Woman’s Hospital, and St. Vincent de Paul. I love to cook, entertain, and spend time outdoors — especially caddying for my sons or working on my own golf game. Most weekends you’ll find us cheering in the stands for the LSU Tigers, the Mercy Blue Jays, or the Catholic High Bears.
